The Mississippi is the most important river in North America. It is the thirteenth longest river in the world. It flows from the north to the south of the USA through 10 states, its length is nearly 3700 km. The Mississippi has always played a significant role in the development of agriculture on the territories, bordering with the river basin. The book "Life on the Mississippi" written by Mark Twain reveals the history of steamships which carried goods and passangers along the Mississippi in the 19th century. Nowadays the river remains the most important transport highway, it is cheaper to deliver the goods down the river, although it takes more time.

I want to talk about my teacher. This person works at school. He / She teach us -students, new things. For example- English teacher helps us speak and write in English correctly. Math teacher shows us all the secrets of this subject. To be a good teacher in some subject, you need to know this subject very well and be talkative, so students can understand you. This job is well paid, because of needs of good education. This is a full time job - often 1 teacher have lessons with 5 or more classes and it takes a lot of time. Teacher is very hard to do, because you need to teach a lot of students same lesson, and it is kind of tiring. Also, your speech needs to be easy to understand, and it is hard sometimes.
